Happy Friday! Welcome to another weekend. I know our family is certainly looking forward to the weekend.
Kayleigh Bug has had a pretty good day today. Her new stomach medicine is helping some and we decreased her steroid a little today. She still had stomach pain today but it wasn’t quite as bad. Hopefully we can get off the steroids and get the stomach completely under control soon! Please keep praying for the meds to work and for us to be able to lower the dose without bad side effects. I am a little worried about how her body will handle this reduction. It didn’t really like the last one so your prayers are greatly appreciated!
Today has also been a beautiful day for support. The band had purple Pom poems, the high school football program has a huge ad for Kayleigh, another local school had a big fundraiser for Kayleigh today, softball teams are still wearing her color or number, it’s just amazing. We are so humbled by the outpouring of love from every direction. I know God is using Kayleigh’s story to minister to many people, but He is also using the comments, posts, messages, and kind words from strangers to encourage us each day.
We continue to pray big, bold, prayers – knowing that God hears them and is more than capable of granting our greatest desires. Praying, claiming, believing, trusting – our God is so GOOD.
Mark 11:22-25
22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. 24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”
